Welcome to our artist highlight, where we bring you the very best in the world of creativity. Today, we are thrilled to introduce you to the incredible Kat Trevino, a true Southern California native who has been crafting her unique artistry for over three decades.

A Multifaceted Master of Art

Kat Trevino is a versatile artist, with a mastery that spans across various art forms. With a remarkable career that includes 35 years as a graphic artist, Kat's experience extends into the realms of illustration, painting, sculpture, and photography. Her journey through the world of art is a testament to her boundless creativity and dedication to her craft.

In a world where technology has rapidly evolved, Kat proudly boasts that she was creating and designing long before many of the digital tools we now take for granted even existed. She fondly recalls her days of studying photography using actual filters and lenses, a time when developing film in a dark room was the norm.

The Enigmatic "Kattmosphere"

What truly captivated us about Kat Trevino is her dynamic and surreal imagery. During our interview with her, she introduced a term that encapsulates her unique artistic style - "Kattmosphere." This name defines her innovative approach, blending photography, digital layers, and other elements to create her signature digital artwork.

Kat's creative process often involves photographing several models and then embarking on a journey in the digital realm. She painstakingly selects and combines different elements from each photograph to craft her final image. It's a labor of love that can take hours or even weeks, reflecting her deep commitment to her craft. For her, creating these dreamlike surreal pieces is akin to giving birth, and at the end of the process, she sometimes feels both physically and emotionally drained.

A Distinguished Journey in Art

Kat Trevino is not only a gifted artist but an accomplished one. With a degree in Graphic Arts & Fine Arts, she proudly graduated at the top of her class. Furthermore, she expanded her horizons by delving into the art of glass blowing and sculpting. Her unquenchable thirst for artistic exploration sets her apart as a truly innovative creator.

Pushing the Boundaries

Kat is an artist who constantly moves forward, embracing the ever-evolving landscape of technology. She is dedicated to pushing the boundaries between the digital and real world. In a remarkable fusion, Kat has woven her art into an AI immersive world, creating an even more surreal environment for her creations. She invites her audience on a dreamlike journey, where reality and imagination intertwine seamlessly.

The Spotlight Awaits

After witnessing some of her exquisite work, Creative Artist Magazine has partnered with Six Summit Gallery to showcase Kat's creations at the 2023 Art Hearts Fashion Week extravaganza at the Majestic in Downtown Los Angeles. It's a testament to Kat's talent and the impact her art has on all who experience it.

A Passion that Never Fades

Kat Trevino has no intentions of slowing down. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful - "love what you do, and do what you love." Her artistic journey is an inspiration, a reminder that art is a never-ending adventure, and that, much like Kat, we should embrace our passions with open arms.

So, step into the mesmerizing world of Kattmosphere, where reality and imagination blend into surreal beauty. Kat Trevino's art invites you to escape to a dreamlike realm, a place that exists only in the boundless reaches of the human imagination.

"PencilMan"

Graphite Pencil Artist

CLARENCE "PENCILMAN" POINTER

Born in Alabama and currently residing in Southern California with his beautiful wife Michelle, Clarence "Pencilman" Pointer has carved a niche for himself as a professional self-taught artist. His medium of choice, the graphite pencil, is the brush with which he conjures his breathtaking masterpieces. The meticulous attention to detail evident in his work is truly unparalleled.

Mr. Pencilman openly shares that during his childhood, the means to purchase paint, brushes, or canvases for his art were beyond his family's financial reach. Driven by a deep passion for art, he embraced the only tool available to him—the humble #2 pencil. In his hands, that pencil became a brush, a conduit for his creativity. A single glance at his creations reveals the extraordinary transformation he has wrought with that simple instrument, leaving an indelible mark on the art world.

While his talent allows him to bring a wide array of subjects to life, it's clear that people and commissioned work hold a special place in Mr. Pencilman's heart. His journey began at the age of 14 when he clinched first place in an art competition, earning recognition in a magazine. This marked the start of his artistic journey and garnered attention in his community. His earliest clients were friends of his father's colleagues who commissioned portraits, and the joy his work brought to those who received his drawings remains a driving force to this day.

My own introduction to Mr. Pencilman happened a couple of years ago, and it was apparent even then that he was destined for a feature in Creative Artist Magazine's inaugural print edition as a nonprofit organization.

In 2021, we invited him to participate in the LA Art Hearts Fashion Week extravaganza. During this event, his talent shone brightly and attracted the lens of renowned photographer Arun Nevader, resulting in an iconic Getty image.

A quick internet search of his name yields a plethora of mentions, a testament to his widespread recognition. His work has earned him numerous awards, including "Artist of the Year" and "Distinguished Artist of the Year" by the California Senate. Despite his acclaim, Mr. Pencilman remains a humble soul, dedicated to giving back to the community through extensive charity work. He generously donates his time, skills, and artwork throughout the year.

Among the notable figures who proudly possess his artwork, personally presented by Mr. Pencilman himself, are luminaries such as Jay Leno, Dick Gregory, Rosa Parks, Andrew Young, John Carlos, Claudette Robinson, Bo Jackson, Gene Chandler, and Bill Duke. His artistic journey has been chronicled in countless newspapers, magazines, and prime-time news outlets, including CBS, NBC, and Fox.

But beyond the glittering celebrity endorsements and media attention, Mr. Pencilman's true passion lies in serving his non-celebrity clients. He finds profound joy in immortalizing people's loved ones and commemorating their special moments. Approach him for a grand image portrait, and you'll be pleasantly surprised by his eminently reasonable prices.

Clarence "Pencilman" Pointer is not just an artist; he's a storyteller who weaves emotions, memories, and legacies into every stroke of his pencil. His artistry transcends the visual, touching the heart and soul. His work, characterized by extraordinary detail and heartfelt expression, continues to inspire and captivate all who encounter it.

Jason Osiris

Professional Artist

JASON OSIRIS

Jason Osiris is a California-based artist, armed with a Fine Arts degree from ASU. Collaborating with us across a diverse range of projects, from stunning artwork to the creation of eye-catching vinyl designs for printed merchandise, Jason's creative journey has left an indelible mark.

Jason's medium is that of oil paint, where he believes the brush is an extension of his very hand. With oil, he finds a world of flexibility and the ability to unveil intricate details through layers. What truly captivates him is the tactile sensation of oil on his brush with every stroke. His art is a visceral, emotional process, and every brushstroke is infused with intention.

In a recent interview, Jason shared his artistic philosophy: he aspires for his art to transcend time. He wants someone encountering his painting a century from now to feel the raw emotions he poured into it. It's not merely about superficial beauty; it's a profound record of his emotions, depth, and innermost feelings.

Jason's creative journey has taken him to captivating destinations. He's been a standout presence at events hosted by Creative Artist Magazine Inc, as well as other gatherings within our extensive network. The Art Heart Fashion week event in Downtown Los Angeles featured him, and his exceptional work earned him an invitation back from the curator of Six Summit Gallery for a second year. Notably, Jason's art found a new home, with a direct sale resulting from our introduction. We're thrilled to announce that he's set to be the star artist at our upcoming paint party event in October.

Excitingly, we've secured Jason an exhibition at the prestigious Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Twentynine Palms, California, just minutes away from the iconic Joshua Tree National Park. In May of 2024, Jason's art will grace the two main gallery spaces, promising a captivating and memorable experience for art enthusiasts.

Creative Artist Magazine has also secured a role for Jason as Joseph in the International Celebration of Christmas at Old World Village in Huntington Beach, California for a second year.  Come and see Jason and enjoy the celebration- free admission Sunday December 17, 2023!

Jason Osiris is not just an artist; he's a storyteller, weaving his emotions and experiences into each canvas. We invite you to embark on this artistic journey with him, as his work continues to captivate and inspire.

VALENTIN (VALZART.ETC)

Valentin, a California artist widely recognized by his artistic brand name ‘Valzart etc,' is a multi-disciplinary artist who first captured the attention of Creative Artist Magazine three years ago. During our interview, it became evident that Valentin is an exceptionally intelligent individual, akin to a polymath, with a broad knowledge spanning across numerous subjects.

While he was primarily renowned for his muralist skills, particularly his distinctive 'glitch style' art murals, Valentin's artistic journey has transformed over the years. He has ventured into various art mediums and styles, including 3-D printing and, most recently, digital art. Notably, he openly embraces AI prompts in his creative process but goes beyond that, using his digital pen to push the boundaries to their absolute limits, thus creating his own form of digital art.

A turning point in his career came when we invited him to attend LA Art Hearts Fashion week and LA Swim Week both of which he displayed his beautiful masterful artwork and also did his amazing live art. This was an experience that transformed his perspective that got him interested in the digital realm. Prior to this, he hadn't explored the intersection of fashion and art. He credited this newfound inspiration as the catalyst for many of his recent digital artworks.

Another event Creative Artist Magazine invited him to take part in at the Five Point Youth Foundation Summer Paint Out 2023, hosted by fellow Creative Artist Magazine alumni’s artist King Cre8 and  Silky D Williams, Valentin was able to create his masterpiece in just two hours.

Currently, Valentin is immersing himself in the study of architectural designs and blueprints. He embodies our belief that artists are the future scholars, builders, scientists, and inventors who continually redefine the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

VALZART.ETC LEFT US A BEAUTIFUL TESTIMONIAL READ IT HERE AND SEE OUR STATEMENT ABOUT HIM ABOVE:

"I had always been a fan and was entertained by Creative Artists Magazine since I first heard of the article on Mego Street Art who was also on the cover. The artist they featured was an inspiration to me, and I saw how she was succeeding in this field of expertise, and how the magazine was sharing the world of these great individuals. Knowing that they were shining was exciting to me, and at that point, all of my doubts were out the window and I was given a boost of confidence, I never knew that one day I would be included in this incredible community with these accomplished artists who are making contributions with their unique talents. When I was invited to come aboard, I was surprised and more than happy to be included. When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was an independent artist that operated with discipline and in a constant state of evolution, learning, and adaptation. Being in Creative Artists magazine and surrounded by all the world-class artists inspired me in Los Angeles. Seeing myself as a student first and an artist second helps me to learn from my fellow artists in this powerful community. Whether it is seeing Vela’s beautiful mural work or seeing Jason's excellent oil paintings, it teaches me to step my game up and pushes me to operate at a certain standard that Creative Artists magazine has.

This opportunity has helped me in many ways, and I'm grateful to be a part of this company. I still have a lot to learn and am looking forward to making more contributions."
